Big News

So yesterday 6/7/2010 we made the announcement to everyone....

We are going to get married on 6/21/2010.....we figured why wait? To me a piece of paper does not signify the love, commitment, and respect you have for your partner, nor does a lavish wedding. I have known people that spend thousand of dollars on a spectacular show ...not wedding...SHOW to prove to everyone just how much they are willing to spend, just to demonstrate their love. Then three months later they are signing divorce papers. We don't need a huge wedding, our two witnesses will be our beautiful mothers. The most important women we love, will be there to celebrate our union. We decided that later on maybe we can do a small wedding to have the whole family present but for now we are more than happy to go down to the court and sign papers......

Weekend 5/22/2010 - 5/23/2010

Out of all the days ...I think I look forward to Saturday the most. I get to wake up late and wait for J to get off of work. He finally has a day off after four, five days straight of working, morning until night. All he does is work....one of the many reason why I admire him. He is nothing short of everything I looked for in a person. Mi amor....I decided to make arroz, pescado, and salsa de aguacate. Most of the recipes or dishes I talk about will be in spanish. I want to thank my mom for always teaching us the value of keeping our culture alive. So many people don't know their history....(let's save that for another post). We went and watched Ironman 2Pretty good movie. Definitely more action than the first one. After that we just relaxed with the family and stayed up until 4 in the morning talking, drinking, and laughing our asses off. We never get tired of watching Friday...If you know what I am talking about then the following quotes will make you crack up hahaha:Craig's Dad"Every time I come in the kitchen, you in the kitchen. In the goddamn refrigerator. Eatin' up all the food. All the chitlins... All the pig's feet... All the collard greens... All the hog maws. I wanna eat them chitlins... I like pigs feet"

Smokey: Yeah, well she blacker than a motherfucker too.

Hahahaha gets to me every single time. There are so many of them that the list would go on forever so let us cut it short.

Sunday comes around and the only thing we are ready for is the game against the Lakers. If the Suns win they will be in the finals for the first time since 1993!!! We haven't been this close in forever, it's about time. So we head out to my bosse's house (they invited us over for a bbq) and we end up watching the Suns beat the Lakers....There is hope!!! =).

Right after the game we went to see Robin Hood with Russell Crowe...loved it.

Nothing better on Sunday than sports, food, and a good movie. End of the weekend =(
